A 2-CD recording of the six sonatas for violin and piano BWV 1014-1019 (Johann Sebastian Bach), by Michelle Makarski (violin) and Keith Jarrett (piano), will be released by ECM in 2013 (the exact release date is currently unknown).

It looks like ECM will finally re-release “Hymns/Spheres” on CD on November 30, 2012 in Germany (December 3, 2012 in the UK). This is excellent news, as “Hymns/Spheres” has only been available on vinyl and as a single-CD version entitled “Spheres”, which included only four of the eleven original tracks.

Let’s hope that “Concerts” will follow soon!
