Keith Jarrett did play at least two solo concerts in Australia in 1982:
- March 6, 1982 Melbourne, Australia
- March 13, 1982 Sydney, Australia
He apparently also played in Sidney in 1984, but I don't have any information about that concert.
No idea if he will ever play there again.
As for standards recordings, I think it's difficult to go wrong with any recording by the "standards trio". I would suggest starting off with the "Standards, Volume 1" and "Standards, Volume 2" recordings. They're now available as a box set called "Setting Standards". The "Solo Tribute" DVD also contains solo performances of standards.

Hello, I would also recommend Keith Jarrett at the Blue Note, a 6-CD box-set covering a melange of jazz standards. If I were to recommend THE trio recording, it would definitely be Still Live, recorded live at the Philharmonic Hall, Munich 1986. This is by far one of the most remarkable jazz albums ever produced, the trio here are ethereally superb, the improvisation is unmatched - melodic genius at its best.
