Keith Jarrett will play a solo concert at the Sejong Center in Seoul on June 2, 2011. The concert is already listed on ecmrecords.com. I don't know when tickets will go on sale. Let me know if you have any information. Thanks to TJ for the information!
Update (February 16, 2011). Tickets should go on sale on April 1, 2011 through Ticketpark.
Update (April 5, 2011). As mentioned in the forum, tickets are available, but not on the English version of the Ticketpark website, only on the Korean version. You can buy tickets by phone. Apparently, at some point, you can dial 9 to speak to an English-speaking employee, but I haven't tried that personally.

As an American currently living and working in Korea, I was making arrangements for a trip to Japan for the solo concerts in late May. I almost dropped my phone in excitement Friday morning upon getting the e-mail update and announcement of Jarrett's Seoul solo performance on June 2. Living within near walking distance of the Sejong Center just makes this announcement all the more pleasant for me personally. His performance with his trio here last October at the same venue was my first time to see Jarrett in person in any fashion, and though I am a jazz fan, it is his solo efforts that I most cherish, and getting to experience it live this summer should be momentous.
Please keep everyone apprised of the ticket sale date.

Thank you kindly, Mr. Bruchez! Shall I post a review after the show?

Hi Bruchez. Thank you for your information for the ticket. I open the link and find some information for this concert in Korean. But I can not read Korean. I try to open the page in English, but still can not find any ticket on sale for it. I will wait anyway. It seems that KJ would not like to have his concert in China. So I plan to travel to Seoul for this solo concert where is much more close to Shanghai.

To any still trying to get tickets-- they ARE on sale (since April 1st at 2pm local time), but only the Korean version of http://www.ticketpark.com shows them currently. I recommend calling Sejong Center directly. Go to the website, click "Performance/Exhibition", and on the left menu, find "Booking information". You should be able to contact someone who can speak English and book over the phone. (This is how I bought tickets for the trio concert in Seoul last year.) Have the Seating Plan open while you call and you can see what you're buying.
I was fortunate that I work with a Korean lady, who I now regard as my personal savior, that happened to have a Ticketpark ID and did it for me.
Act quickly--when I bought tickets, 20 minutes after they went on sale, almost the whole first floor was sold out! It seems Seoul has a small but very devoted KJ following...
Good luck.

Here's a direct link to the Korean Ticketpark website selling tickets. It's really impossible to do without the help of a Korean--you must log in to purchase them, and registration requires a basic understanding of Korean.

You could try calling Ticketpark at 1-544-1887 if you live in Korea. The workers tend to be young so may speak English. Otherwise, call Sejong Center.

Has Keith Jarrett EVER played in Salt Lake City, UT? Or any states bordering Utah??? I'd love to travel to South Korea, France, or Brazil, but I'm a beginning school teacher with a family and probably just can't cough up the dough for the airfare. Anyhow, if within the next 100 years anyone hears of Keith coming to Utah or anywhere within 500 miles, please let me know! Thanks.

Super jealous. I too was pressing refresh repeatedly, but I hadn't anticipated needing to register to buy tickets! I was hoping for front row VIP but twenty minutes later, I had to settle for first row balcony. :-/ I'm hoping for a bit more amplification than last time with his trio in Seoul.
Regardless, can't wait for this once-in-a-lifetime event. I'm exclusively listening to his solo albums discography until then. Just rediscovered La Scala, which I hadn't given much attention to until recently. (The last 20 minutes of Part 2 caused my Korean fiance to start crying last night, officially confirming I've found the right woman!)

I was informed by the staff of ticketpark that I successfully booked the ticket for 1F rowD 79 on wednesday. But Still not received the ticket. Actually don't know whether it will be deliver by airmail or express. Does anyone had experience about it? It is a VIP seat but no idea does it mean the forth row? and 79 is close the middle of the row?

Not the fourth row. (D refers to the section.) Looks like you're in the 7th row. Still a great seat though!

Thank you.
I know taking photo and camera are not allowed. I wonder can I use a telescope(I only have a big one, for sea navigation use)? If can not, it's ok, I will give up.
By the way, shall I wear suit and black pants and black leather shoes, I prefer some leisure shirt and leather shoes. I think it's a stupid question, but I have never attend any concert so far 26years

I don't know if anyone reads this thread anymore, but just wanted to let you all know that this concert will be recorded! So we can relax during the show, knowing any transcendent, life-altering musical moments will be captured and (possibly? likely?) released on CD. But NO COUGHING ALLOWED, people!
From the Sejong Center website:
This upcoming performance in June at Sejong Center will be recorded; the Keith Jarrett side has said that the audiences of their last year's performance at Sejong Center were the best out of all the audiences that he had for many years. Keith Jarrett decided to hold a solo concert after being touched by the Korean audiences' passion and their high level of understanding of jazz at his last year's concert, and that is why he decided to conduct a recording with his exclusive engineers.
