Hi. I just joined the forum. I'm a huge KJ fan since 1978 with the purchase of My Song while I was in high school. I've seen him twice live in Newark and Miami with the Jarrett-Peacock-DeJohnette trio.
Since I play the drums I wanted to mention that one of my favorite drummers has recorded a couple of KJ tunes. Steve Gadd's 2013 album Gadditude contains two Keith Jarrett tunes: Country and The Windup.
It's interesting to hear Gadd's interpretation of The Windup because he plays it more rhythmically (time wise) accurately, whereas the Scandinavian band rushed a bit though the odd meters. Very different feels, but both great.
Country is one of my favorite Jarrett tunes, and Steve and company play a beautiful rendition of the song.
